TB Today
Steps to control the rapid spread of the infectious disease have been made in developed countries, but developing countries with larger populations still carry the burden of containing the disease. Tuberculosis can still spread in developed countries due to a large number of people being sick from HIV/AIDS and taking "immuno-suppressive" drugs, which stop a person's system from fighting disease to help cure other illness. This means that people who have other illness are at a greater risk of getting the disease. New strains of bacteria developed and can be resistant to anti-biotic drugs with around 20% of the latest cases in which this is prevalent.
